Welcome to this new website from the Devon branch of The British Horse Society

Please visit the How to Join page to discover the benefits of being a member of the British Horse Society

The Access page lists our volunteer District Access & Bridleways Officers in your area, who will be pleased to help with any queries you may have and, most importantly, will be very grateful for your help in improving our rights of way. Do you know of or ride a route that should be recorded as a bridleway or byway?
This page will also give you links to the excellent Devon County Council website and interactive map where you can zoom into all areas of Devon to find bridle and byways where you wish to ride. There are online forms - Path Inspection, Adopt A Path & General Enquiry - for you to contact the Council direct, along with some excellent booklets to download.

The Welfare page lists our volunteer Welfare Representatives, if you have concerns regarding horses or would like advice, please contact them.

Check out our Riding & Road Safety page for seasonal advice and training, The BHS administers a programme for riders to gain their Riding & Road Safety Certificate, training is carried out at several venues around the County

The Events Page will be updated as soon as new dates are arranged, if you have ideas for future activities please contact us, if you would like to help with these events we would be very pleased to hear from you.
