From our Chairman . . .

As chairman I am often asked the question "What does the BHS do for me?" the answer is a great deal for all riders and non riders alike.
If you gave the horse a choice surely the charity he would choose would be the BHS with its wealth of useful and valuable benefits! Think of the advantages for him:-
 
  Insurance offered to Gold Members
  He would be correctly looked after
  Enjoy a knowledgeable and competent rider
  Have access to safe & enjoyable off road riding
  Know that people were constantly campaigning for his safety in all situations especially on
  the roads
  If kept at livery it could be at a BHS Approved yard
  Know that his fellow equines that are less fortunate than him have a charity looking out for
  them promoting the prevention of cruelty, neglect and harm
  Above all, if there was a problem, there would be expert advice at hand, just a phone call
  away

How many of us are aware that the BHS is a charity, devoted to the welfare of the horse in the broadest sense. It is also a charity that relies very much on the dedication of its volunteers. Is there some way you feel you can help us? The more people we can encourage to join, the more the BHS can achieve.
